Dr. Uttam Puri Goswami is a a postdoctoral fellow at Department of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), Prince George, British Columbia. He is a Climate Change and Agricultural Expert at Innovante Water Solutions Pvt. Ltd. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience for renowned institutions. He was involved in various consultancy projects for WRD Chhattisgarh where he worked for recent floods in the territories of Chhattisgarh upstream of Hirakud Dam, Design and Network Planning of UGPL Irrigation System including Aerial Mapping, and preparation of Detailed Project Report.
He completed his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He did his Masters (ME in Water Resources Engineering) from Shri GS Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, India and B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering from College of Agricultural Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University, Jabalpur, India.
He has to his credit more than 12 research papers/ book chapters in national and international journals, conferences and Publishers.
He has conducted extensive research on climate extremes, glacial lake outburst floods, and the impact of climate change on regional hydrology.
